You can’t get enough of her\, we can’t get enough of her – Anděl is back for her annual Geneva pilgrimmage to offer her amazing improv wisdom\, side coaching\, and sass. We are pumped to welcome Anděl for four open workshops for the Geneva (and Swiss) improv community – there’s something for all levels!  \n\n\n\n***  \n\n\n\nTwo is the Magic Number (open to all levels – recommended for Intro/Level 1 and beyond) The most common setup for an improv scene is two folks onstage. So let’s make the most of it. Scenic and play dynamics through pairs. Using acting exercises we’ll explore what improvisation can be when we drop our guards and allow ourselves to live on stage\, see and be seen. We’ll spend the first hour working out with some improv drills and different ways to connect and the second two playing with the duo dynamics we can create in the room. *** Cost: 70 CHF Cancellation policy: We understand that plans change\, but no-shows deprive other folks of a chance to learn and makes it hard for us to pay our amazing trainers. She was born in Chicago\, raised in California and moved back to Chicago at the tender age of 17 to study comedy and improvisation. She is a faculty member of the Second City Training Center programs; A-E\, Conservatory\, Health and Wellness\, Advanced and Teen and Youth program and has taught her workshops all over the world (The Improv Shop St. Louis\, Monkey Business Institute Madison\, OLLIE Northwestern\, CLIP U of C\, Bucharest\, Dublin\, OKC\, The Improv Retreat\, WI\, The New Movement NOLA\, Iceland\, Bulgaria etc.) As an actor she is an alum of Boom Chicago in Amsterdam\, the Second City Touring Company and performed in the Jeff Award award winning Second City ETC revue “We’re All in this Room Together.” She has also produced countless successful two-man shows as Arch&Anděl (The Public House\, Annoyance\, OoB Festival) and improvisational experiences (Obits a theatrical experience exploring the lives of those that have passed) as well as directed in Chicago at Second City\, iO and the Annoyance. We will explore characters outside the “norms” and open up the play possibilities. We’ll take the time to connect and create the world we want to see onstage and adjust our default settings. Let’s add depth to our scene work and humanity to our improv. This is a full-day workshop. We all have bodies. They are incredible things and yet we spend a lot of time not moving them. Pulling from physical theater\, clowning\, dance and just plain PLAY\, this workshop will explore our body’s relationship to improvisation\, our scene partners\, and ourselves. We will move\, play\, and get out of our heads and into our bodies. Great if you love to move\, better if you don’t. Come give voice to that thing you live inside all the time. This workshop is designed to meet you where you are and we will practice full body autonomy. This workshop will be active\, experiential and accessible. New formats\, new troupes\, and new improvisers take the stage. \n\n\n\nEach month\, you get to see a new improv show. It can be familiar performers trying a new format\, or a whole new ensemble debuting.
